This week in our #construction news, a French-Colombian scientist Carlos Moreno suggest in cities big and small to implement a concept called a "15 minute city." He believes that entire cities can serve their local communities within them if provided within a 15 minute radius. He explains the six essential function (living, working, commerce, healthcare, education and entertainment) would makes neighborhoods "human-sized." Ohio's biggest-ever economic development project will require 7000 construction workers to help build the project from the ground up. Intel will be making two computer chip factories in New Albany near Columbus. In #Hawaii news, Kauai wants to disaster-proof new buildings by putting them on stilts. If approved, Kauai would follow Boston as one of the first cities/states to regulate "construction based on the future impacts of sea level rise"
